Late Monday, April 2, a four-truck accident killed one man and closed the New Jersey Turnpike for hours. The man who died was the driver of the dump truck involved in the accident. The one other injury was to the driver of the tractor-trailer involved in the accident. According to police reports, the tractor-trailer was jackknifed which caused it to become engulfed in flames. There are truly no excuses for accidents like this. This one was likely caused by truck driver negligence, since there was no sign of malfunction.
