If the insurance company is offering to pay me, doesn't that mean they are admitting fault? How can your firm do better for me?
If the insurance company is offering to settle your case or wants to take a recorded statement from you, it is in your best interests to contact a lawyer from Arnold and Itkin immediately. Chances are that the company is trying to get you to settle your case cheaply in the hopes that you won't hire a lawyer. Typically, when someone contacts us after an insurance company tries to negotiate with them or offer a settlement we are able to secure multiples upon multiples of what the original insurance company offer was. Similarly, if the insurance company is trying to take a recorded statement from you, you are not obligated to give it. It would be wise to politely say, "Thanks but no thanks." Anything you say in a recorded statement can and will be used against you in the court of law. Instead of giving the statement you should immediately contact a lawyer at Arnold and Itkin and we will take it from there.
All you have to do is pick up the phone and call. We can talk about it. We can talk about what they are offering you. I don't want to take on a client if I don't think I can do a multiples better than what they are otherwise talking to the insurance adjuster about, and I would advise people to be careful when talking to insurance adjusters; they tape all of your phone calls and they will try to get you to say things or do things or say you're probably at fault. You just need to be careful and you need a professional representative there to negotiate on your behalf.
